Creating Custom Ring Tone in iTunes

Dear All,

As my friend sastry keeps requesting to post on how to create custom ring tone using iTunes, let's have this topic for today.

  • Open iTunes
  • Go to File --> Add file to library (Ctrl+O) to add your favorite song. In case if you have added already you can skip this step.
  • Right click on the song and click on "Create AAC Version" (this is iTunes compact format). This step will create an AAC version of the song which you have selected. It will take 10-30 seconds to create.

  • Once it's created click on "Recently Added" button under Playlist option at your left panel. Now you should be seeing the AAC version of the song as shown below.

  • Now right click on the song and select AAC version (Right click on the song so that you can see the below information to confirm it's AAC)

  • Once you confirm this is AAC version then right click on that song or from the above window select "Options". As customs ringtone cannot be >30 seconds give the start and end time as per your wish then click on OK.

  • Now Play that song, it would play only that 30 seconds. Upon confirmation again right click on that song then select "Create AAC Version".
  • Once the AAC version is created when you notice on the duration of that song it would be 30 seconds. Now goto the path where this song is available. Rename that song from .m4a to m4r. If the file extension is hidden click here to see how to make it visible.
  • You can now either drag and drop the song into Ringtones or else you can add from File menu under Ringtones option. In case if you don't see any ringtones in your left pannel as shown below, you need to goto Edit-->Preferences (Ctrl+,) and under General tab Check the Ringtones option.

  • Connect your phone and make sure when synchronization this songs are selected under Ringtone Tab.
If you have any queries please leave me an email  or comment on my blog. Please don't forget to rate this topic.

Login Activity of your Gmail account

It's not an easy way for us to track the IP address and location from where our gmail id is accessed. Google has taken this responsibility on behalf of us and gives this feature to know our login activity of our account.

To know your last logon activity of your Gmail account just scroll down till the bottom of your gmail main screen where you usually see the % of memory used on your account.

You should be seeing a verbiage "Last account activity:" Click on the "Details" link to open up a new window on which you will get the details of IP address and location where you gmail account is accessed. This way you can make sure you are the only user who logs in. Google also notify us if there is any suspicious activity on our account. Click here to know more on that feature.

Naked Fear (18+ viewers only)

Dear Readers,

Last week i saw a movie "Naked Fear". this movie was released in the year 2007,the specialty of the movie is the screenplay of the story plus the actress.A big applause can be given to the director and the producer for giving us this movie.I m very unlucky that i saw this movie last week only.

Taking a brave decision is not a simple thing, i really appreciate the actress(Danielle De Luca) for her dedication and her decision to act for this movie.Let me not tell you much let me get into the story now.

Top line of the Naked fear:

Diana kelpers (actress) will be cheated by an agent who promised her to get a good job, but she will be forced by the agent to work as a bar dancer finally. To get the original driving licence  and go out of this job she need to pay the money to him. Considering her family situation and other things she finally agrees to work there.

The tip + salary was not sufficient for her to get out of this job. She was given an accommodation  and her room mate advises her to do prostitution to earn the money quickly and get out of this place. In Parallel there are complaints which is getting increased to police everyday that there are ladies who are disappearing very often. Investigation goes on.

In this situation, Diana kelper decides for prostitution. She looks for a guy in the bar and goes with her. In the mid of the way she change her decision to get back to her room as she couldn't compromise herself into this prostitution business. But the guy she had chosen was a psycho. His nature is to take the ladies to his house, remove their nails from their foot and make them to run on a jungle then kill them. He knows the jungle very well.

Now Diana Kelper is kidnapped by this psycho. She is into the jungle. He asks her to  run. What happen after that is the rest of the story?

Scenes that i enjoyed:

  • When she was dancing in the bar by removing her cloths one by one unfortunately the sound system will get spoiled. The expression from her will be awesome.
  •  When she says to her room mate like "If i am missing some day please don't forget to inform someone that i am missing", shows her worry and the fear.
  • The police officer when he says that he was not given enough authorization to proceed in the case makes us to get the real feel when our hands are tied though we are good to go.
  • The scene when psycho stands on the other end of the river and a poisonous snake aims at Diana will be awesome.
  • 80% of the movie Diana will be naked but the talent of the direct + acting of her will not make us to move our eyes below her face.

Watch out!!!

Drag and Drop attachments from gmail to desktop directly

Dear Readers,

Let me not write any stories for this post as it's self explanatory.

Happy surfing with Google.

Multiple Sign-on with your Gmail ID

Dear Readers,

I should be having at-least 10 different g-mail account for various point of contacts. I use filters in other accounts to forward other account emails to single account thru which i can manage all the 10 different accounts. We cannot blame on IE/Chrome/Mozilla for not allowing us to login with multi sign-in facility, it's purely with the email provider like Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail.

Now it's time for me to say once again "I Love You Google!"

Gmail team has work around with various techniques and finally it's out with this feature. We are now allowed to switch between multiple id's that we have with Gmail. We need to turn the multiuser signon option.

Let's see how to setup?

1. Click on "Settings" on the top right corner.
2. Click on "Accounts and Import" tab.
3. Click on "Google Account Settings"  link near to "Change account settings"
4. Now select "Change" under "Multiple Sign-in" option and read the instruction carefully.

Not all the features are allowed to use. We have restriction with Offline & Calender option which are rarely used by many users.

Who is in your Wireless network?

Dear Readers,

Laptop users are increased worldwide and the world is now turned @ 3G/4G wireless networks. All these improvements are linked to the internet with the help of wireless media.

We use routers for these type of connectivity. It's very important for us to know how many users are connected to our network and the traffic in our network. There are many chances that our passwords may be shared with others or some hackers can easily break our network connectivity to get into our network.

I always recommend my friends to grand access to the network by MAC-ID only. This way we can secure our network for some extend. To know the active users in our network we can have our routers software but these softwares doesn't work 100% to give the right details in that case we may need this to find who are the users connected into it.

Click here to download this tool which does good job in finding unauthorized users in our network.

If you are interested to know how it works then watch out this video.
