Different Time Zone in Google Calendar

Dear Readers,

I am not sure about how often you use Google Calendar, but I am mad about it. Without calendar event my day will not pass. I have all remainders and events for the day in my calendar. I use outlook calendar only for official purpose but for all my personal reason I have my Google calendar handy.

When we come to create event in Google calendar then we have big headache especially dealing with different time zone people. For example if you are scheduling a call with a friend in France/India and you are in USA then you are not aware of what time zone they are in L. So as a one stop solution Google has now introduced having events created with respect to the time zone.

All you need to do is just to click on the Time Zone link which is near to date and time and select the country where your friends are then you are done.  The remainder is buzz’d up automatically with your current time zone.

The best part is you have start & End time zone separation. For example if you are starting an event starting in USA and ending @ India then you can separate it. Use it you will hate other calendars. It’s Google what else.

Unsubscribe from Unwanted Newsletters, promotions, etc

Dear Readers,

Often we use to register our products that we buy thru online or in shop. During the registration obviously our email id is mandatory. In this cases normally i have one crap id on which i use to register these things so that i can stay away from  few crap newsletters.

But what to do if you don't have any separate ID and you already have registered many products. To stay away from this you have 3 golden steps.

1. Create an account with this provider (Click here to create) 

2. Login to you email and select the newsletter/ subscription emails that you don't want to receive.

3. Forward the email to mail@unsubscribe.com and relax yourself. Rest will be taken care automatically.

SMS Alert on PNR + Train Schedule Status

It's posting time, I couldn't stop myself to serve you now. 

If you are in India and a frequent train traveler then you will give a big smile @ my blog once you read this article. Yes, Often we book tickets in IRCTC / directly in railway counters then we will not be informed incase of any delay in train schedule or change to our PNR#. 

How will you react when i tell you this? I found a website where you need to register your PNR + Your Mobile#, it will alert you via SMS on the status + train schedule. Wow!!! You now no need to rush to internet centers or call your friends to check your online status. Stay cool and have a safe journey.

McAfee Security Center showing Blank Screen

Dear Readers,

I am quite busy for long time as all the weekends are busy with some travel out of this state. What to do family is also important for everyone. Cool!

As i said you already for many security reasons i use LinuxMint OS rather than Windows OS. Almost it's a month that i logged into Windows OS. I connected to windows OS yesterday and i observed that McAfee Security Center has alerted me with a message stating "Your computer is not fully protected". I clicked on the McAfee Security Center to fix it but to my surprise McAfee window was blank :(. Except help screen nothing was shown up. 

I truly didn't understand what's going on and i tried to install McAfee Virutal Technician to resolve the issue. After trying with Virtual Technician also nothing worked well for me. Then after deep analysis i came to know that the issue was with IE9. Yes, McAfee runs with Internet Explorer defaults. As IE9 was installed in my machine which is beta version and Microsoft didn't fix all the outstanding issues with IE9 our McAfee product was unable to determine its settings to proceed further.

I un-installed IE9 then finally downgrade to IE8 then my McAfee Security Center was working normally. So, in case if you are having this issue please try to use the same method. If still the issue persists then please contact the Support person to help you.
