App Store Purchase History

Dear Readers,

7/10 smart phone users are iPhone users today. It's all with the craziness that we had on iPhone. Each and every application is purchased via iTunes App Store only. Six months back my iPhone was dead and i got a new phone back.

Unfortunately i didn't transfer my purchases/have the latest backup in my computer of my old phone, so i didn't remember the applications that i was having it earlier. Then it took hard time for me to get the history of the apps that i had early. I thought of sharing the way i did by looking into the  history to reinstall all my app's.

Please follow the below steps to look into your purchase history.

1. Open iTunes --> Click on iTunes Store
2. Click on your "Account Name" Eg: abc@xyz.com which will be displayed on the right top corner and enter your password then click on "View account"
3. In the account information screen second box will have your "Most Recent Purchase" date. Near to that you will have "Purchase History" button. Click on that
4. It will give the history of all applications that you have bought.

I am sorry i should say this sad news to you, You might have purchased some paid app on a hourly/holiday deal which will show you in the history as $0.00 but when you purchase it may not be the same price. So be careful before you purchase.

Dear All,

Often we wonder when our friends who appeared online more frequently suddenly appearing offline. Did you try to ping them and got frustrated with no response? There will be only three reasons for that can happen in this scenario.
  • Didn't get chance to login to their account.
  • Trying to avoid you.
  • Cleverly blocked you in their chat list.

How can we find out the exact root cause it's very simple. Follow me i am sure you will get to know the exact reason.
  1. Click here to download Pidgin
  2. After successful installation you can directly click on "Add" in the main window or you can click on Add button by going into Accounts--> Manage Accounts (Ctrl+A).
  3. In the Add Account window choose Gtalk under protocol. You have most of the messengers to choose Eg: Yahoo,AIM etc.,
  4. Give gtalk user name and password in the appropriate text box.
  5. Enter "Home" in Resource box.
  6. Click on Add
  7. Now your account has been added. In the Buddy list window click on Buddies --> Show --> Offline Buddies.
  8. Once you get the list of offline buddies just right click on the user name whom you think they have blocked you and choose "Get Info".
  9. If they have blocked you then you will get the result as Offline else you will see their picture & profile information.  That's it. You can take a deep breath and relax.

I am sure you are clever now as you have found out the fool who has blocked you thinking you will not be knowing whether he/she has blocked or not.

Can we hijack their credential? Follow my posts we shall play with them just note down their id.

Stop Auto Invite to Google Chat

Dear Readers,

I am sure this happens to every gmail users. Gmail has an inbuilt feature which will automatically invite your frequent gmail friends. I am sure it's a cool feature but what happens is it's not recommended to send some invitation from our end without our knowledge. So let's see how does this goes automatically and stop if we don't want.

Login to Gmail --> goto Settings
Under Chat tab --> If you have "Automatically allow people I communicate with often to chat with me and see when I'm online." Selected then the invitation is going automatically.

If you want to stop this then select the alternate option ie.,  Only allow people that I've explicitly approved to chat with me and see when I'm online.

Auto Recovery Option in Microsoft Word

Dear Readers,
Microsoft office plays a vital role in many of professionals and non-professionals life. Simply I can say whoever use computer they should be aware of Office tool. On which Word is one of the most important application when we say documents in computer.

8/10 users will not save the document the moment they have completed 100 words at least. This ends up in loosing data when there is power cut in your PC or your PC hangs. What if you are typing a big document for your official purpose and you lost when you are about to completeL. IT’s the saddest part and you will hate to do it again I know.

To avoid this we have a feature in Microsoft Word 2010/2007. You just need to click on Office button on the top of the window and select options. Now select Save in left side of the window and make sure you have specified the Auto Recover File location path is defined and you are aware of it.

Also the saving interval which I have highlighted in the figures will be helpful in recover your document until that point. You can also specify the document type such as 2007/2003 format etc.,
